She tells him that she agreed to help because she feels bad for his mother working so hard for her family, but he just quips that she’s never had to live with the woman. Interesting; so now it’s dating, not marriage, huh? I actually think it will be good for the both of them to just comfortably date each other without concerns about marriage. Plus, I see Jang Mi’s declaration as something that just proves how much she loves Gi Tae.

And yay for a show that uses more than the main leads in an effective way. I still wouldn’t say all characters were likable or well-developed and used as in my other favorite show of the season, High School King of Savvy. I liked the portrayal of the leads and their families best here – including grandma, aunt, even sleazy dad and his mistress. Hoon-dong was funny once you get past the first few episodes where he was quite repulsive – and he did get his comeuppance in the shape of his wife (insert evil grin here).

And there was like a time limit to swap back before things became permanent or something. I have vague memories of seeing a trailer around, it’s probably buried in the depths https://legitdatingsites.com/ of one of my streaming watchlists. It can not be just me but I, a gangster, became a high school student – is giving off serious deja vu vibes from the title alone.

This is what I’d watch any day of the week… But what else is it — outside of the time taken and space given to let a romance unfold — that makes the slow burn romance so enjoyable to watch? I would argue another important part is that in encourages us to travel with the characters. While we watch a couple navigate their relationship, closeness, attraction, and obstacles, we go on that slow burn journey with them. And for me, that’s so much more fun than watching a love line that bursts through the doors with its suddenness.

thoughts on “Marriage, Not Dating Episode 1 Recap”

I’m so glad I gave this drama a chance. Honestly, I first decided to watch this drama because of Yeon Woo-jin. And of course, Jinwoon is always adorable. But good god, Han Groo is such a revelation. This is the first time I’ve seen her in anything and I’m in love.

Later, Jang-mi sits outside, doing all the cooking herself. She’s a mess, covered in flour and dripping sweat, absorbed in the work. She wonders why she’s doing everything herself and calls Ki-tae to come help. He refuses and tells her to just burn or ruin it all; he doesn’t care.

If I was lawyer girl I’d be hella over this dude. Jang Mi gets taken to the police office where she’s falling asleep and yells drunken remarks to all of the polices officers questions. Sitting next to her is Gi Tae, who’s there since he was a victim to her little bottle tirade.

The marriage idiocy act for moments I understand because she doesn’t want more distance mine kt and his mom and I see where cute sub coming from.. I’m dying now since we don’t not get previews. I eng don’t mind the pacing of the OTP. I think it’s realistic and quite necessary, especially for MND, seeing wall that’s the main plot of the drama- to marriage into a fake marriage and simple fall for each other. Jang-mi doesn’t believe her so Hyun-hee says to ask him herself, and suddenly Hoon-dong is there in a suit holding a bouquet of flowers. He kneels and confesses, but Jang-mi insists that she really doesn’t like him anymore and no, she’s not playing hard to get.

Where else are these chickens coming from? Aunt thinks that Gi Tae is focusing so much on Jang Mi that he has ignored the problem with regards to the hospital. Mom has been secretly listening to this conversation and she doesn’t look happy. I just loved the scene of KT and his mom on the phone…it dawned on me that, your mom is your greatest ally and the person that loves you the most…. I guess people really experience different things watching the same drama (GF gave MGIAG a 10, which was a mere 7 despite my seunggi-loving heart and soul).

Marriage Not Dating 13 Preview

This goes for the parents as well as the leads, because none of them really changed dramatically; they only learned to accept themselves and take responsibility for their own happiness. Nobody had to have a personality transplant in order for someone to love them… yes they all changed some, but they just became better versions of themselves. Before, their quirks and hangups were holding them back, but they learned to take those qualities in themselves and use them in a positive way instead of letting the personality trait be in control. Ki-tae’s mom sits up alone late at night and is joined by Grandma, who also can’t sleep. Grandma says she has something to confess and asks if Mom remembers when she left home with Ki-tae.

He doesn’t approve of the methods that Hoon Dong goes through to break up with Jang Mi, and sympathizes with her after seeing that her love his real. I’m also very glad that the show made it so that he just wants to stay single a little longer rather than because of the result of some tragic love or that he’s secretly pining after Se-Ah. I’m also loving his growing interest in Jang Mi and how he is already looking out for her. She is determined to cut it off with that jerk and move on.
